How to clean your toilet

Here’s what you’ll need to clean and maintain a fresh toilet:

STEP 1: Use Harpic Power Plus Liquid, our revolutionary Toilet Cleaning Gel that creates a preventative non-stick layer in your toilet bowl to help reduce the build-up of stains. It also provides 10 powerful benefits, including to help remove stains and below water cleaning. 

Before you attempt to clean your toilet, open any windows or doors to ensure the room is well ventilated. Then, follow the steps below:

1. Tightly squeeze pads on side of cap and unscrew your Harpic Toilet Cleaner Liquid. Use undiluted.
2. Direct nozzle under the toilet bowl rim and squeeze bottle gently. Apply Harpic Power Plus Liquid to the entire bowl. Leave for 10 minutes to disinfect the toilet bowl.
3. With a toilet brush, thoroughly brush entire bowl.
4. For best results, reapply and let the liquid cover the bowl then flush to leave a preventative layer that helps reduce future stain build up. To remove cap: Squeeze pads on side of cap and unscrew. To replace cap: Screw on tightly until you hear a click.

Then flush to leave the bowl sparkling clean and fresh. Always read the label and follow directions for use

STEP 2: Use either New Harpic Hygienic & Fresh Stickers, a Harpic toilet block or cistern block to help maintain a clean and fresh toilet

Harpic Hygienic & Fresh Stickers are fresh, fragrant and easy to use. With no need for a germy plastic cage, they use 99% less plastic than a Harpic caged toilet block (excluding packaging). To use them follow these steps:

1. Flush the toilet to ensure it is wet.
2. With dry hands or dry gloves, hold the block in one hand. Do not peel off the film.
3. Apply the product to the inner surface of the wet bowl, pressing the middle and holding it for 3 seconds with your thumb to adhere it to the bowl.
4. Wash hands after the application.

STEP 3: Use New Harpic Cleaning Tabs to clean where the brush can't reach!

Harpic Fresh Power Cleaning tablets clean the toilet below the waterline and all the way into the u-bend without the need to scrub. Just follow the steps:

1. Lift up the toilet seat and open the protective flow wrapper.
2. Holding the opened wrapper, carefully drop the tab into the toilet bowl without touching the tab. Do not place tablet into cistern.
3. Use 1 tablet for general cleaning, or 2 tablets for best results on limescale. Leave for 30-45 mins with the toilet seat in the upright position. To remove 99.9% of bacteria (E. coli, S. aureus), use 3 tablets. Leave for at least 1hr and 15 mins with the toilet seat in the upright position.
4. Use the brush (if required) and flush toilet.

Top Tip: Leave your brush in the bowl so it gets cleaned too!
